United Way of Logan County Accepting Donations of Children's Books

Did you know that children who can read at their grade level through third grade are more likely to graduate from high school on time?  Many children fall behind in reading during summer break because of lack of reading materials at home.  The United Way of Logan County wants to help make sure that books are available for all kids in our community during the summer, to encourage reading and learning during that break from school.

To that end, the United Way of Logan County is accepting gently used children's books for future redistribution to Logan County kids of all ages. If you have books you would like to donate for this, please contact the United Way at 217-735-4499.  Cash donations designated for book purchase can also be accepted.
